About Us
South East Wales Energy Agency is a registered charity (no. 1055753). Through our projects and advice centre we aim to combat climate change fuel poverty and poor health by promoting and facilitating the adoption of energy efficiency and renewable energy.
South East Wales Energy Agency was established in 1994 to serve Cardiff. Since then we have grown significantly to cover the whole South East Wales area.
South East Wales Energy Agency currently manages projects valued at around £1.5m per year which together save around 55,000 tonnes of carbon every year. We employ 16 staff working on various projects and services. In addition to advice and grant referrals for the public via our freephone number and e-mail, we also attend local events to give advice and distribute free low energy light bulbs.
